On Sunday, April 2nd, 2017, Saheli, Support and Friendship for South Asian Women and Families will be hosting our annual Mehndi fundraiser at Sons of Italy in Woburn, MA. In years past, this event for women and young girls has been sold out. The celebration is aimed at spreading the word about Saheli among other South Asian groups, particularly among the Pakistani, Nepali, and South Asian Muslim communities. The event is being organized by long-time Saheli volunteer, Farhat Rangwalla, and promises to be another fun-filled event with laughter, music, dance, free raffles, and excellent South Asian food. And of course, not to forget, the event will be rounded off with women and young girls having their hands decorated with intricate Mehendi designs while learning how to get involved more with our organization.
