American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, known as AAPI, has elected Dr. Sapna Aggarwal, IMANE President - 2016, as its New England Regional Director for the year 2017-18.
AAPI, which facilitates and enables Indian American physicians to excel in patient care, teaching and research and community affairs, is one of the largest professional organizations of Indian-Americans in the United States. AAPI has about 11,000 members.
Dr. Aggarwal, who specializes in internal medicine, practices at Lahey Health in Sudbury. She graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India and did her residency/fellowship at Boston University.
Dr. Aggarwal said “I feel very honored to announce that AAPI has unanimously elected me to be the Regional Director representing New England. It is my commitment now to unequivocally dedicate my time to bring similar or better results that I and my EC team achieved during my tenure as President at IMANE. I want to thank my family, close friends and advisors who have been supportive of my efforts.”
