The New England Shirdi Sai Pariwar temple in Chelmsford MA hosted a Nrityanjali on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on Feb 25, 2017. Students from many different dance schools performed a variety of dances as a prayer to Lord Shiva.
Students of Jayashree Bala Rajamani, Kalpana Balachandar, Jeyanthi Ghatraju, Ranjani Saigal, Neena Gulhati, Anu Surendran, Veena Telli, Neha Parikh, Hema Iyengar, Jasmine Shah, Preeti Ramesh, Dhanshree Karmakar, Sunanda Narayanan, Poornima Risbud, Subathira Janarthanan ,Saumya Rajaram and Sapna Krishna. Music students of Bhuvana Chandrasekar and Sailakshmi presented a few lovely songs.
Watching the performance, one could see the quality and dedication of the dancers. All teachers had worked hard to shape their students into fine dancers. Surely the Lord of Dance, Lord Nataraja was pleased to see the efforts.
The temple shared the news about the new temple construction that is taking place. They have had a very successful fundraising effort and are short only $500k in a 10 M project to raise monies for the temple. The temple hopes to shift into the new premises during the summer.
