IAGB organized a holiday get together at the Mehfil Restaurant in Tweskbury, MA with more than 120 people in attendance. All Life members, members, past presidents, partners (banking and media), sponsors, supporters, community leaders and guests attended the event. The event was by invitation only and was overwhelmingly successful.

The purpose of the holiday celebration was to provide IAGB vision, - change its image from two-event/year organization, provide continuity, create an IAGB community platform to bring IAGB to its community, and collaborate with all organization across the board.  IAGB believes in the mission of each individual organization and would like to collaborate with them to bring us together.  Help us, help ourselves and bring the organization to our community  We would also like to promote local artists in our Spring and Fall events.  As part of "State of IAGB", Jayashree Voruganti, President of IAGB, presented its (1) New EC vision, (2) strategy to achieve the vision, (3) achievements of 2016 - successfully executed four events, and (4) future plans for 2017.  

IAGB is 54 years old organization - the oldest organization in the New England area.  Thanks to all IAGB Past Presidents, the organization has grown by leaps and bounds.  There is a wealth of knowledge and experience at the tip of our fingers and we wanted to tap in this experiences going forward in our expanded mission and agenda. 

IAGB announced the formation of a new Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will provide the much needed continuity to IAGB going forward with the new vision and visibility at various community events to represent IAGB.  We identified certain areas that would need continuous help and also wanted to accommodate all past presidents over next few years.  We nominated  seven advisers but the number can change based on the requirements.  We also want to ensure that their function is in the advisory nature only and not binding to EC.  We will have to make changes to IAGB By-laws to accommodate the Advisory functions.        

The Advisory Board list is as follows:

1. Dr. Kaplesh Kumar - Legal

2. Dr, Nannaji Saka - Auditing

3. Mr. Ram Voruganti  - Community Services/compliment EC initiatives and create a team (include Dr. Wali, Mr. Rajinikant, Ms. Shah, etc).  His term will end with 2017-2019 EC Term and will be replaced by Dr. Wali.

4. Mr Shiva Sheel - Past President from early, founding years. His term will end with 2017 term.

5. Mr. Mohan Dali - Third president President (2009 - 2011)His term end with the current EC term in 2017

6. Mr. Amrit Soni - Second Past President (2011 - 2013) - His term ends in 2019

7. Dr. Anil Saigal -  Immediate Past president (2013 - 2015) - His term ends in 2021
