New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar is celebrating Duttatreya Jayanthi on December 13^th by performing Sai Vrat Katha and Samuhika Gurucharitra Parayan on Saturday December 17^th.

Duutatreya Jayanthi is a Holy and very auspicious day, commemorating the birth day celebration of Sadguru Duttatreya, a combined form of the hindu divine trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. It is celebrated on the full moon day of the Margashira month.

As part of the dutta jayanthi celebrations, Sai vrat kata will be performed on 17th December from 6 PM.

On the occasion of Duttatreya jayanthi, NESSP conducting a samuhika guru charitra parayan – A discussion on Guru charitra parayan. The devotees who sign up for chapter reading will read that particular chapter at home and prepare a synopsis of that chapter and present at temple on Saturday, 17^TH Dec , 9 AM and read the summary of the chapter in front of all other devotees.

NESSP is an independent local organization that has been serving the devotee needs since a decade. In addition to temple related activities, NESSP also believes in helping the community that its part of. The organization has an active Charitable and Philanthropy charter. The different charitable activities NESSP has undertaken in the past are: Disaster Relief, Annadaan (food donation) to the homeless, Winter Clothes drive – Collection and distribution of warm winter clothes to the needy. Red Cross Blood donation drives, Lowell General hospital cancer center walks. NESSP Conducts Free health camp and Dental camps, Meditation and Yoga sessions. For kids, NESSP Conducts Annual Academic competitions, chess classes, quizzes. NESSP is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
