The RangManch team has come together to put a fabulous Bollywood night featuring a set of incredibly talented singers and musicians. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at the Keefe Technical High School Auditorium in Framingham, MA at 4:00 pm. The team shared some insights on the program.

Could you tell us a little about Yeh Shaam Mastani?

After the HUGE success of Yeh Shaam Mastani in 2012, RangManch is back with 'Yeh Shaam Mastani-2' - A Tribute to Kishore Kumar, a fundraiser for QUEST. We have a team of incredibly talented singers and musicians! Our singers are - Raghu Saranathan, Parag Joshi, Jayant Bhawalkar, Suzana Naik and Sudha Subbaraman. Valentino Almeida is the guest singer. Our talented musicians are - Nikhil Pendharkar, Manish Kurup, Shridhar Ganapuram, Bharat Lagu, Angshuman Parashar and Alden D’Souza.  It's going to be a treat for Kishore Kumar fans. Join us on Oct 8th to celebrate the immortal Kishore Kumar.

How did the artist decide what songs of the maestro to sing?

The variety of songs sung by the amazing Legend Kishoreda cannot be expressed even in a few shows.  With that in mind, we wanted to bring out compositions that express versatility in mood, orchestration, percussion sounds and last but not the least, vocal styles.  We have songs different from YSM-1 - a combination of peppy, sad solos, romantic-melodious-happy duets and  dramatic and rich orchestration-laden songs.

Anything special we should look out for in the event?

Local events with a live orchestra are rare in New England, so having a live band is going to be a treat for the audience! Every artist in this show has worked together, so no doubt we all have grown better and more experienced with our skills in music. Do look for improved quality overall. The team, esp. the musicians has raised their bar, and do listen to the interludes and bass sounds. We also  like to have an element of fun in our shows, our MCs have some masti in store for you.

What is QUEST ? Why did you choose to fundraise for this organization?

QUEST stands for Quality Educational support Trust. QUEST is a Non-Governmental not-for-profit organisation working on quality related issues in the field of Early Childhood Education, Elementary education, and Teacher education since April 2007. Over the past 8 years, work has been initiated in 6 districts of Maharashtra: Thane, Palghar, Nandurbar, Jalna, Junnar and Dhule. The organisation has reached around 9000 children, through its various programmes, and around 1000 teachers through workshops and its online forum which is available in the regional language (Marathi). The Testing of achievement levels of students under interventions, done from time to time has shown significant positive impact.
You can visit www.quest.org.in for more information on their projects.

RangManch is always supported causes for the benefit of children. Our first fundraiser ‘Yeh Shaam Mastani-1” was for Child Rights and You (CRY), a non-profit organization that aims to restore rights to underprivileged children in India. In 2013 we organized ‘Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai’ a fundraiser for Pratham, a non-profit organization working  towards the provision of quality education to the underprivileged children in India. We were impressed by the work QUEST was doing improve the quality of  early childhood education in rural areas. We want Bostonians to learn about QUEST and to support their cause. We hope to achieve that through “Yeh Shaam Mastani-2’!

This is your 3rd show working together. What makes your partnership click?
