On September 28th, 2016, Saheli,
Support and Friendship for South Asian Women and Families will partner with the
Allstate Foundation to end domestic violence. As Saheli celebrates its 20th
anniversary year, the organization will participate in the Purple Purse
Challenge, a national online campaign that raises awareness about the financial
aspects of domestic abuse, and raises funds to help empower the abused to
leave. Throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, agencies that
raise the largest number of dollars will compete with each other for up to
$100,000 in additional prizes and donations. Individual donors will enter to
win prizes, too, including a purple purse designed by Kerry Washington. Saheli will be reaching out to you
for support very soon. The Purple Purse crowd-funding page will “go live†on
September 28th at https://www.crowdrise.com/Saheli-PurplePurse2016. Please help Saheli get off to a strong start by donating
generously and sending this message of support to your close friends and
family. For more information on how you can
help Saheli win $100,000 to end domestic violence, please e-mail info@saheliboston.org. You may also access this article through our web-site http://www.lokvani.com/ |
