Saheli’s free services are specifically geared toward challenges faced by South Asian immigrants in MA, and include programs in domestic violence prevention and recovery, economic empowerment, and emotional well-being and mental health.
Saheli seeks two motivated, talented and dynamic Development Specialist VISTA Members to work as a team and establish development processes to sustain donor relationships, build new financial streams of income, and ensure the continued success of our two annual community fundraisers.
Expected projects and tasks will include:
- Developing a more coordinated way to track philanthropic requests,
pledges and contributions;
– Researching and developing a central donor database;

- Responding to donor queries and approaching benefactors for appeals;
- Analyzing data and compiling reports on current or prospective donors;
- Managing social media and online fundraising campaigns;
- Drafting proposals or grants; and
- Preparing mailing materials such as invitations, solicitations and
