Praful Thakkar 08/10/2016 4 Questions Home Buyers Should Ask Themselves Home ownership is an American Dream – more so if you are a paying a rent that pays someone else’s mortgage. I have seen, usually this dream begins with looking at the friends who bought the home, asking questions, doing some research online and yes, looking at the homes online! (How the world has changed in last decade!) Does that mean you are ready to buy a home? May be! May be not!!! STOP right there. This is perhaps one of the most incorrect answer. Even though your lifestyle may be exactly same as your friend, Even though you are making the same amount of money as your friend (perhaps more!) And even though you have similar background as your friend. Your wants and needs may still be different than your friend's. You want 'Freedom' for yourself. You want more space, perhaps. You love gardening and want to grow vegetables in your backyard. You want your children to raise in desirable neighborhood. You want your children to enroll in high-ranking school district. You want your commute to work less stressful. And most importantly – you want a place to call 'MY HOME'! (where no one is going to stop you want to hang the pictures of your parents.) And there may be many more reasons why you want to buy the home! Discuss them with your family - and yes, if children can participate in this discussion, include them, too. Sometimes they come up with great ideas. Find the answers to those 'WHY's before you jump at ANY home, just because you can afford or just because your friend bought the home!
