The program Radio MusicIndia (RMI) came into existence when Harish and Binita Dang, the hosts of the longest running Indian radio program in the Boston area, decided to retire from their radio program, Sounds of India, and passed on the baton to a group of music enthusiasts. Harish and Binita leave an exemplary legacy behind after serving the Boston community for more than forty years through their radio program. Radio MusicIndia, launched in October 2015, is hosted by Anuradha Palakurthi, Ali Rizvi, Sanjay Jain and Pradeep Shukla. The radio show is broadcast live at AM 1330 WRCA every Sunday from 11 AM to 12 PM. The program can be streamed live by going to http://1330wrca.com/

RMI provides edutainment, a mix of education in Indian classical music and ragas and interesting information on Bollywood songs and regional music of India, said Ali Rizvi, one of the hosts of RMI. This Sunday, May 22nd, the radio show will be jointly hosted by Anuradha Palakurthi and Smt. Arati Ankalikar. This show will be very interesting because Arati Ji will put forward her perspective and views on the raga samay chakra for Hindustani raga system, said Anuradha Palakurthi. Arati Ji’s presence on our show this week will very special as she will simplify some of the nuances of classical music for our listeners, added Ali Rizvi.
