Press Release 05/12/2016 Indian Medical Association of New England (IMANE) held its Annual Spring Continuing Medical Education or CME conference on May 7 at the Massachusetts Medical Society headquarters in Waltham, MA. The theme of the conference was " Nasir Khan Memorial Lecture Series: Update in Risk and Pain Management." It was designed towards earning 5 category 1 CME credits in risk management for physicians, and was attended by about 70 physicians. The speakers at the conference were Celebrity Physician Dr. Anita Gupta, Paul R. Greenberg Esq. from Prety Flaherty LLP, Dr. Christopher W Shanahan, Roisin Cahill Esq. and Dr. Sanjeet Narang. "I am very happy that our CME conference this year was a super success," said IMANE President Dr. Sapna Aggarwal. “We raised one of the highest amount of money for IMANE in recent years. It was a great team effort. People had a great time listening to lectures while networking with their fellow physicians during breakfast, Indian lunch and visiting sponsors." One of the attendees said appreciatively "I come to get my high risk credits needed for licensure which IMANE has been doing a great job for many years. " Another attendee said “The quality of lectures and speakers were amazing this year.†Dr. Aggarwal thanked the entire committee for all the hard work, time spent in planning and execution of this event, especially the course directors Dr. Umakanth Khatwa and Dr. Naveen Pandaraboyina and all the speakers, EC team, sponsors and attendees. Some upcoming IMANE events are- ‘Trip to Foxwoods on May 21st, Health Fair on June 5th, Free Health Screenings at India Day at Hatch shell Boston on August 14th, Women's Forum Meeting in September, Breast Cancer Walk at Charles River on October 2nd & the Annual Gala on Nov 19th at Burlington Marriott.
