Amitabh Bachchan wished his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on their ninth wedding anniversary and called the occasion a day of "joy and happiness".  The couple tied the knot on April 20, 2007 in a lavish ceremony in Mumbai. They welcomed their first child, daughter Aaradhya, in November 2011.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose latest release "Fan" has been garnering positive response, says he took a chance with this film as he wanted to present before the audience something which they had never seen before. "It's (Fan) not a film that heartland audience will like it. But we took a chance thinking hopefully they (audience) will like it, but they need song and dance. I am not unrealistic," Shah Rukh told PTI.

Actress Swara Bhaskar, who has been striking a fine balance between commercial and small films, says her roles in mainstream films help her draw audiences' attention towards independent projects. Swara has acted in small films like 'Listen Amaya', 'Machli Jaal Ki Rani Hai' and commercial films like 'Ranjhaana', 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'. Now, she will be seen next in 'Nil Battey Sannata'. "It's important that small films get a better platform. Like 'Ship of Thesus' got attention due to Kiran Roa and same was the case with 'The Lunch Box' (which) had Karan Johar. Our film 'Nil Battey Sannata' has Anand L Rai and Eros International so it's a positive thing for you," said Swara.

Director Anurag Kashyap is returning to the Directors' Fortnight sidebar at the Cannes Film Festival with his latest thriller 'Raman Raghav 2.0', where Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the infamous serial killer. 'Raman Raghav 2.0' to premiere at Cannes Directors Fortnight.. Congratulations team," Anurag Kashyap tweeted. Raman Raghav, also known as Psycho Raman, was a psychopathic serial killer who terrorised the streets of Mumbai in the mid-1960s.Kashyap has already showcased his films 'Ugly' and his two-part crime saga 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in the festival's sidebar Fortnight, which opens with Marco Bellocchio's 'Sweet Dreams', will screen 18 feature films by noted helmers across the globe.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was hospitalised following respiratory problems last week, is "recovering well" but will have to stay in hospital for at least three more days. The 93-year-old actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra on April 16."He is much better today. He is recovering well. We had conducted few tests and the results have been satisfactory. We will conduct few more tests with the permission of the family," Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital told PTI.
