IMANE Holds Women’s Forum Meeting

Indian Medical Association of New England, known as IMANE, held its first Women’s Forum Meeting on March 20th at Burlington Library in Burlington, MA after a gap of many years. 

The speaker at the meeting was Kavita Chhibber. Her talk title was “Healing relationships through Energy Medicine and Vaastu Shastra." An interactive presentation was done by Kavita Chhibber on creating energy. It was attended by many women physicians and their guests. Dr. Jhaveri is Chair and Dr. Manju Sheth is the Co-Chair of IMANE Women’s forum.

"I am very happy that our first IMANE women’s forum meeting after a gap of three years was very well received," said IMANE President Dr. Sapna Aggarwal. “People had a great time listening to lecture while networking with their fellow physicians during snacks time."

“Attendees learnt a lot about the holistic modalities and were very receptive about energetic exchanges,” said Dr Jhaveri.

Dr. Manju Sheth, Co-Chair of IMANE Women’s forum  said “As I always say, the world of medicine has changed now and we have to all work together and learn from each other so that we are not just treating patients but taking much needed vital steps in healing them. As Indians we are so blessed to have the gift of ancient wisdom including Ayurveda and Vaastu. Kavita Chhibber has spent years studying it. It was wonderful to spend some time in a cozy informal setting on a Sunday afternoon to learn from her in an interactive session.” 

The audience learnt about how stress and depression is causing so many dysfunctional relationships and by using energy, healing can be achieved. Interactive session was very fascinating and aroused lots of curiosity among all the attendees. It sparked an interest to learn more. Vaastu Shastra was another interesting topic regarding positions of kitchen, main entrance etc and their effect on relationships etc.

Dr. Aggarwal thanked all the attendees.

Women's Forum meetings are planning to have more frequent meetings that will bring together women doctors to network and socialize. 

Some upcoming IMANE events are- Health and Wellness Expo on April 3rd (IMANE will be doing Health Screening), Trip to Foxwoods on May 21st,  and Free Health Screenings at India Day at Hatch Shell Boston on August 14th.
