Navratri / Durga Puja celebrations at Sree Vijaya Durga Kali Temple.

Sri Vijaya Durga Kali Temple, Burlington conducts Navratri / Durga Puja celebrations from Oct 13th. Navaratri Puja starts Tue, Oct 13th and Durga Puja starts Sat, Oct 17th.

The event starts with Navratri puja on 13th followed by Annapurna Puja on 14th, Gayatri Mata Puja on 15th and Lakshmi Maa Puja on 16th.

Durga Puja starts on 17th with Durga Devi Bodhan (Awakening of Eternal Shakthi). The events on Shasti cover Devi Nouka Agamon, Kola Bou Snan, Ganesher Biye, Bashi Biyer Utsab (Ganesha Wedding) and Durga Debi Amantran followed by Maha Saptami Puja, Debi Maha Snan and Dhunuchi nach (Dhoop Dance).

Astami is special day with Maha Astami puja, Maha Ashtami Sandhya Pushpaanjali and Astami Ratri Puja at midnight on 18th. Navami includes Maha Nabami  Puja, Maha Yagna and Joggo. The event concludes on Dasami with Maha Dashami Puja, Darpan Bishorjan, Dashami Kritto and Sindoor khela.
