The Indian Americans of Lexington in partnership with the Cary Memorial Library Foundation showcased 'An Indian wedding, A visual Odyssey' on September 19th at the Cary Library.ibrary to life with color and the sights and sounds of an Indian wedding.It was attended by more than 150 people from the community and brought the library to life with color and the sights and sounds of an Indian wedding.
Cary library came alive for an evening of wedding festivities.
Children and adults had their hands adorned with henna, a short costume show of you ng kids followed and many visitors draped themselves in a beautiful silk sari, and enjoyed melodious fusion music from House of Bangalore, and were entertained by spectacular dance performances from local Bollywood groups! Decorations were by Anitha Shetty and Designs and the delicious wedding sampler feast was by Pabla Group.
The event was an effort by the IAL to raise funds for the new initiative " Transformative Spaces". The community came together to support the evening.
