The voice that gave life to Aishwarya Rai's famous dances - Nimbooda , Dola Re and others, the amazing Kavita Krishnamurti is coming for a live concert in the Boston area on 11th October, 2015 at Collins Center in Andover, MA. The event is organized by AAPARNA, a premium Event Management Group of Boston.
Undoubtedly one of the favorites of the critics and masses, Kavitaji’s singing career reads like a fairy tale. Her exquisite and mellifluous voice, wide range and versatility to sing different style and types of songs put her in a unique place as singers and quoted as ‘Melody Queen’.  As a multi-platinum recording artist & playback singer she worked with 4 generations of musicians and having sung over 15,000 songs in 16 languages in various genres.

Born in Delhi, she began her vocal training under Sri Balram Puri, (in the Hindustani style of music) at a very young age. Her incredible talent was evident by age eight when she won her first gold medal at a Music Competition.
 
While at St. Xavier’s College, Bombay, Kavitaji started singing professionally on stage with the great music director and singer Hemant Kumar, Mukesh and Manna Dey. She began her recording career in 1971. Her first recording for a Bengali film song was a duet with Lata Mangeshkar. “Maang Bharo Sajna” was her first Hindi film under Sri Laxmikant Pyarelal followed by “Pyar Jhukta Nahin”.

Kavita-ji served as a bridge between the older film singers like, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar to the most present day singers. Her fantastic range has led to collaborations with music composure like Naushad, Khayyam, Lakshmikant-Pyarelal, R.D. Burman to today's A. R. Rahman, & Shankar-Ehsan-Loy.

Padmashri Kavita Krishamurthi, the “Best Singer of the Millenium” awarded at the Stardust Millennium 2000 Awards, is coming to the Boston on 11th October, 2015 to dazzle the fans with her enchanting voice.
