Press Release 09/17/2015 PRATHAM USA’S BOSTON CHAPTER ANNOUNCES ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA The Boston Chapter of Pratham USA, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of education for underprivileged children in India, is hosting its annual Gala on Sept 25, 2015 at the prestigious Taj Hotel. This year also marks Pratham’s 20th year anniversary. The funds raised will support the organization’s mission of “every child in school and learning well.†As the largest educational movement in India, Pratham inspires people around the world to stand up for children's right to education. The Boston board is pleased to announce that one of India’s leading industrialists and philanthropists, Mr. Ajay Piramal, head of the Piramal Group, will be the keynote speaker as part of the evening’s festivities. Also, joining this evening would be Ms. Nina Davuluri, Miss America 2014, as the event’s emcee. The co-chairs for this premier fundraising event are Ms. Pratima Abichandani and Mr. Fahim Siddiqui. Following a cocktail hour and dinner, the evening will feature entertainment by Ms. Vasuda Sharma, a Berklee School of Music alumni and of the famed band Aasma.
