The song "Bandeyaa" from the film "Jazbaa" features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, but sans a display of her dancing skills. The actress says the attempt was to stay true to the essence of the film, which has serious overtones. Talking about the song at a media interaction, Aishwarya said: "We wanted to stay true to the film. Just because we had Sanjay (Gupta), I and Ahmed Khan, we didn't want to add dance moves. We just kept it very simple and stayed true to the film." Aishwarya is portraying a criminal lawyer in the film.

Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar, who turned 48 on Wednesday, announced his new romantic thriller "Rustom", which marks his third collaboration with Neeraj Pandey. The movie will release on the weekend of Independence Day 2016. The "Khiladi" star tweeted: "Thrilled to announce Neeraj Pandey and I are collaborating for a romantic thriller #Rustom releasing on Aug 12, 2016! Hoping to be third time lucky :)." Akshay and Pandey have earlier worked as actor-director in "Baby" and "Special 26", both of which found appreciation. But "Rustom" is not being directed by Pandey, and instead marks the directorial debut of Tinu Suresh Desai.

Parineeti Chopra, who was in Jakarta for a stage show recently, not only had some crazy fun times but also some 'crazy currency' times in the Indonesian capital. Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram to share a photo of her shopping experience in Jakarta and captioned the image, "I paid 1 million for 2 shirts!!!! #CrazyCurrency #Jakarta". Actress Shruti Haasan has reportedly opted out of Milan Luthria's "Baadshaho" opposite Ajay Devgn due to changes in how her character has shaped up post the narration. "Shruti and Milan had quite a few meetings. Shruti seemed happy about the film's story and how her role was described in those meetings. Hence she agreed verbally but also requested to see a final script before signing the dotted line, as it is standard norm today," a source close to Shruti told IANS.
