IAGB will celebrate
India's 69th Independence Day (India Day) at the Hatch Shell in Boston,
MA on August 16, 2015 from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Established in 1962,
India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) is the oldest
Indian-American organization in the Greater Boston. Its mission is to
preserve and foster Indian culture, and to strengthen Indo-American
friendship.
IAGB is synonymous with Hatch Shell. One of the
major events that IAGB organizes is the Indian Independence Day.
The Independence Day has historically been organized at the Hatch
Shell. Other than US 4th July celebrations and Earth Day, the
India's Independence day draws, by Hatch Shell’s own estimates, more
than 10,000 visitors.
Air India, is one of the sponsors of the event. IAGB
is selling raffle tickets. Courtesy, Air India, the winner will get two
round trip tickets from New York to any Indian destination serviced by
Air India.
Terms and Conditions:
The
first leg of the journey will have to commence by March 31, 2015. Some
embargo dates will apply. Applicable taxes and fees (approx. $80 -
$110) will have to be paid when the tickets are issued.
