"Essence Of India" is an outdoor cultural event scheduled for Sat, 15th of August at NARA Park, Acton from 3p.m. to 7p.m.  It follows 3 very successful events during the last few years when over at least two thousand visitors participated in the event that celebrates the classical and folk performances, crafts and traditions of different regions of India.  The entrance to the event is FREE.

This year, we are collaborating with China in performances as well as in several interactive booths, Chinese brush art/Indian Traditional art, spice booths, crafts by both countries. Some of the highlights will be a robot by high school kids, drone flying and many other such educational, all inclusive and interactive booths. As a goodwill gesture to our visiting parents we will have a medical booth for basic check ups. Indian food will be provided by Bollywood Grill and Chinese food by Bamboo.

The goal of the event is to bring communities together by creating cultural bridges, and encourage our children to discover multicultural traditions and heritage. We encourage and invite all the communities to attend and participate. This event is partially funded by Town of Acton, Acton-Boxborough, Concord, Lexington, Littleton, Sudbury, Shrewsbury  and Westford Cultural Councils which in part are funded by Massachusetts Cultural Council.
