Press Release 07/08/2015
Solo Show “Summer Joy†and Reception Weston Public Library Sunday July 19th 2pm – 4pm
New England artist, Priti Lathia, has been painting from a very young age. Hustle, bustle of everyday life, nature, city life, suburbs, people, seasons, colors and moods are all her inspiration. The show includes her work in watercolor and acrylics. Using different media in both realistic and abstract paintings has contributed to her style. Her work represents many years of studying as well as personal artistic growth.
Today, she offers high quality fine art instruction to adults and children that teaches students how to "see and read" paintings. The curriculum (designed by her) includes the use of several media - pencil, charcoal, soft pastels, oil pastels, watercolors and acrylics. Adult students and children create paintings in several genres including still-life, flowers, the figure, landscape, portraiture, and cartooning. She teaches in group and private lessons. Both private tutoring and group lessons in different media add to her student’s painting concepts via selective use of design elements, color and composition.
She also conducts Paint-Along Workshops at corporate and public and private venues for adults and children throughout the year. Recent venues include EMC, several public libraries, and private and charity events.
She is an active member of several local art societies and organizations and has participated in many juried, group and solo shows. She sells artwork through shows, galleries and her professional blog http://priti-fine-art.blogspot.com/ and facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Priti-Lathia-Fine-Art/.
Do not miss opportunity to see several of Priti’s paintings on display in the art gallery of Weston Public Library.
Free raffle, light snacks and prizes at the reception.
