Telugu Association of North America (TANA)  in association withTelugu Association of Greater Boston (TAGB)  and TV9  organized  a unique singing, dancing  and beauty pageant "Dhim TANA Competitions" on Sunday May 10th, 2015 at Chinmaya Maruthi Temple Auditorium.  Despite  a short notice to the competitions,  highly talented youth and adults of  greater Boston  area participated with vigor and passion in all categories.  Winners of these competitions will be invited to participate in TANA National finals in Detroit.

It was a memorable Mother's Day for all the kids, beautiful girls and mothers of our community who took part in this exciting competitions.  Almost 100 contestants rocked the stage  in the categories that included solo singing, group dancing, Miss Teen TANA, Miss TANA and Mrs. TANA.  Magical afternoon started with welcome note by TAGB Treasurer, Mrs. Manimala Chalupadi. Beautifully decorated auditorium was packed with enthusiastic guests and cheerful supporters.  Emcee, Uma Veluri  conducted the singing and dance competitions impeccably. The pageant was a feast to the eyes with breath taking ramp walks , mind blowing personalities displays and jaw dropping intellectual answers to the judges questions  by all the aspiring beauties.Outstanding anchors Ms. Nagasree Chakka and Ms. Raaga  Kinnera, with their timely witticisms and entertainment delivered with elan kept the tempo of the evening on a continuous rise. Mesmerizing moments of the evening were skill fully captured by Jt. Treasurer, Surender Madadi and Venu Nelluri through their photographs.Audio and Lighting Support was provided by Ramakrishna Penumarthy and Ramesh Dadigala.
 
Panel of judges for singing category were accomplished musicians Ms Radhika Dixit, Mr. Srikanth Gomattam and Mr. Raajan Narayanan. Classical/film dancing and beauty pageant were judged by trimurtis of fashion world, Mr. Jay Kishan, MS. Deepa  Jacob and Ms. Ruchika  Arora.  Boston DhimTana competitions TV coverage was provided by TV9.
 
TAGB President, Shankar Magapu expressed gratitude to TANA President Mohan Nannapaneni for bringing DhimTANA competitions to Boston. He also thanked the Owner of Minerva Indian Cuisine, Mr.Prakash Reddy for his generous food sponsorship and SSB Properties CEO Mr. Vijay Dadhirao for his sponsorship to the event and Anitha Shetty Design and Decorators for the wonderful stage decorations.
He also thanked TV9 team for the support extended towards the event.

Special guest for the evening, young and dynamic Tollywood star Nikhil Siddartha added more fun to the DhimTANA event with his spontaneous comments and modesty.  He graciously crowned the pageant winners and presented trophies to winners of all the categories.
