On April 13, the ICC Board will meet to decide whether or not to continue to turn a blind eye to USACA's crippling mismanagement of the game in the USA. If you care about the global state of the game, please contact the ICC at enquiry@icc-cricket.com and tell them that this issue is not only important to Americans, but to everyone who loves our great game.
Tell me about the connection between ICC and USACA.
USACA has been the ICC member body for the United States since 1965.
What is the main issue here?
USACA is corrupt, dysfunctional, $4 million in debt, insolvent, run by a dictator who fixes elections, has no youth or women's programs and unable to keep its men's program from plummeting to the fifth level of ICC competition. Reform from within has been rejected repeatedly by the dictator, dissent has been crushed, opposing voices ejected.
What are they going to decide on April 13?
On April 13, the ICC Board will decide whether or not to follow up on its January threat to suspend USACA for the third time in the past ten years.
Is it an important decision?
USA cricket cannot move forward without it.
How will the decision impact the game of cricket?
If USACA is removed, the majority of cricketers in America can move the game forward on all fronts.
USACA has once again exposed American cricket to shame and ridicule, this time through another mangled attempt to run a national tournament.
