Air India proudly serves the Indian Government to foster political, economic, trade and development links between India and the nations globally.
As you are aware Air India connects 38 international destinations with India’s 62 domestic cities, many of whom are in North East region, as much as a national service as a commercial venture.
Every Indian who travels on Air India does contribute to India’s development.
The contribution of Air India transcends easy economic evaluation to the economies of all countries we connect. A rough estimate is $20million per flight connectivity per year, and we have 21 non-stop flights to India from US.
Over a dozen political evacuations have been carried out by Air India, positively impacting over 125,000 people, and numerous relief operations within India.
The promotion of tourism, culture, cuisine and fashion has been ongoing since 1960 in US, which we consider invaluable. No price can be put to this effort of Air India which has its own origins since 1932.
Some notable contributions include promotion of sports whereby national champions across games like tennis, cricket, hockey, archery, rifle and pistol shooting, and ethnic games like kho-kho and kabaddi, with several Arjuna and Drona award holders in our employment.
Nobel Prize winners of Indian origin are awarded lifelong complimentary travel on Air India as a recognition by the Government of India.
It is with such patriotic fervor that top industrialists, executives, glamorous filmdom, government officials and prominent personalities of Indian origin patronise Air India.
We do hope your family circles and friends are appraised of the above vociferously towards building India of your ethnic and cultural roots.
