Iran’s kamancheh (spiked fiddle) master Kayhan Kalhor and India’s sitar virtuoso Shujaat Hussain Khan have toured the world over to critical acclaim. They will be joined by the superb tabla player Sandeep Das.

Tabla master Zakir Hussain has long explored cross-cultural music fusions with the likes of Mickey Hart, Bela Fleck, John McLaughlin, and Yo-Yo Ma. His newest project, Celtic Connections, pairs the beautiful and flowing melodies of Celtic instruments including bodhran, violin, pipes, flutes, and whistles with Indian tabla, bamboo flute, and Carnatic (south Indian) violin. This groundbreaking ensemble tours North America performing The Pulse of the World for the first time with a stellar lineup of Indian and Celtic musicians.
