Press Release 03/12/2015
India Association of New Hampshire (IANH) is organizing Dawat 2015, its annual charity gala, on March 28, 2015 at Alpine Grove in Hollis, NH from 5 to 10 PM. The objective is to raise as much funds for multiple charitable non-profit organizations, both in the US & India, that IANH is involved with.
For this year, IANH has selected the following non-profit organizations:
-National Multiple Sclerosis Society New England Chapter, to honor the memory of Mrs. Laura Laliberte, beloved wife of Gerald Laliberte, the Office Manager of the Nashua Public Schools
-A school for deaf, dumb and mentally challenged children called Badhir Vidhyalay run by Viklang Kalyan Samiti, based in Rajasthan, India
Apart from helping the selected non-profit organizations, a portion of the proceeds will also benefit IANH Public Service. IANH is very active in multiple community service activities. Its volunteers cook and serve lunch/dinner to guests at the Nashua and Manchester Soup Kitchens more than twenty times a year. IANH also donates in cash and kind to the soup kitchens, the Salvation Army, and Nashua Children’s Home on a regular basis. IANH has been helping the Bhutanese refugees settle down in their new country by donating clothes, computers, used cars, and other household items. And when needed, IANH pitches in to help victims of natural disasters in the USA, India, and other countries. IANH was voted as one of the top five non-profit organizations in the New England region by the readers of India New England News.
