The morning of Sunday, February 22 the weather prediction of snow and freezing rain turned into a day with beautiful sunshine and shower of divine blessings. Over 60 devotees from Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire gathered at the Shivalaya Temple of Greater Boston to attend a one day Durga Saptashati Beej Mantra Sadhna shivir conducted by Pujya Avdhoot Baba Shivanandji through audio/visual medium.

Sri Durga Saptashati is an ancient scripture of mythology. While the tales and fables in this scripture, highlighting the heroics of Maa Goddess Durga are known to all and widely discussed in traditional culture, the real power of this scripture lies in the mystic meditation revolving around the scripture. After years of meditation on each verse and each hymn of the scripture, Babaji has unlocked and decoded the locked power of Beej Mantras. Through wide-scale initiation in Durga Saptashati Sadhna programs, he is spreading this supreme instrument of healing all over the world.

The discourse and initiation were given through audio/video medium and sadhaks received initiation (deeksha) into this sacred sadhna through Avdhoot Baba Shivanand ji’s power of intention (sankalpa shakti) and celestial voice (vaani).  Babaji said faithful and regular practice of this sacred sadhna can heal diseases, help accomplish life goals, achieve family harmony, peace as well as success in all areas of life. The family and home where this sadhna is practiced experiences overall harmony. It is now Babaji’s mission to spread this divine knowledge to as many people as possible and has graciously offered to hold these sessions in the homes of the seekers (ghar ghar saptashati) so that their family and friends can also reap the benefit of this divine sadhna.

The day ended with the attendees feeling peaceful and elated at the same time. All were feeling the grace and energy flowing through them after receiving this precious gift from Babaji. An attendee from Amherst, MA felt touched by the selfless love and compassion that flowed through Babaji as he gently nudged sadhaks to do this sadhna on a regular basis so that they can reap utmost benefit. Another attendee from Shrewsbury area felt extremely happy and said that this was one of the best days of her life. Similarly all the attendees walked away feeling happy and blessed.
