Press Release 01/01/2015 NESSP would like to wish all our devotees, volunteers and supporters a very happy and prosperous new year 2015.
We are DELIGHTED to announce on this New Year’s Day that we have a
group of donors who have come forward and pledged another 1.7 million dollars.
We feel blessed that Sai is willing to move this temple project to completion.
However, we are not close to our goal yet. We need another 2 million dollars to
help finish phase 1 of the project. We also have a 3.5 million dollar line of
credit from the bank as well. We need the community’s help to get close to the
finish line. Please come forward and be part of this project.
Since our inception in 2006 our vision has been to build a permanent Shirdi Sai Temple in the New England Area. With the blessings of Shri Sai and the support from all, we have been making steady progress towards our vision. We are pleased to share that we are closer to realizing our Vision of Permanent Shirdi Sai temple in the New England Area. We are glad to inform that on December 11th, 2014, NESSP closed on the land purchase and Sale Agreement and has all the permits necessary to start site preparation and laying the foundation.
Our goal is to establish the presence of a permanent Shirdi Sai temple by 2018 in concert with the centennial celebration of Baba's Mahasamadhi.
We seek your continued help and support towards realizing this goal. As part of pursuing this goal, we seek to accelerate the Divine Leaf program by raising pledges. We have other fund raising options like Sponsor a Square Foot, etc. At this time we also want to update you that we continue to enhance our activities and community services charter. As an update we plan to expand kids’ activities in addition to current Sunday Activities, Regular Meditation sessions, College Guidance, Career Counseling, Guest Speaker programs and enhance our Temple timings to support wider devotee base. Please stay tuned as we make significant updates to our activities in support of our community.
