It was a scintillating evening at Radisson Hotel in Chelmsford, MA with 35 contestants participating in Miss, Teen and Mrs categories. Evening began with Ethnic dress round by Teen moving to talent performances by contestants and to glitter, glamor of evening gowns. Monica Gill-Miss India Worldwide 2014 USA, New England-2013 and Shirin Bakre winner of Miss India Teen New England-2013 came to grace the occasion and received trophies after final walk. Finalists of all categories moved to On-stage question round as judged by panel including Christian Ciabatti (actor, director, instructor), Jai Kishan (Choreographer, dancer), Anuradha Palakurthi (Bollywood singer) and Monica Gill (Worldwide Pageant winner).

Amritha Mangalat of Nashua, NH became a winner of ‘Miss India New England’-2014 after answering a question about her inspiration and she answered about her great-grandmother and how she spent her life donating valuable things and helping others. A disciple of Smt Sunanda Narayanan-she danced on Bollywood classical ‘Dola re Dola’ from movie ‘Devdas’ and won audience hearts. Besides Bhartnatyam dance, she is also trained in Carnatic vocal music, Carnatic Veena and activities that she enjoys are Bollywood dance, working with children, teaching, hip-hop, art, writing, reading and modeling.

Harika Talluri became winner of ‘Miss India Teen New England’-2014 who was 2013‘s New Hampshire winner in Teen category. She mesmerized everyone with Madhuri Dixit Bollywood dance medley and another Crown that went to New Hampshire resident is the first ever ‘Mrs India New England-2014’ which was won by Sheetal Kelkar. She could not perform a dance because of a leg injury so composed a few lines and read them for judges and audience and followed the applause. Mrs India category was divided into two categories: under 40 and above 40. Sudeshna Sen from Massachusetts became ‘Mrs India New England’-2014 in above 40 category. Mish bagged the crown after winning answer explaining how a woman balances her professional and personal life.

The pageant director and producer was Ruchika Arora, who is affiliated with Miss India USA and IFC.
