Jai M. Dev and Ra Mahadev, Financial Advisors of Ameriprise Financial, hosted a special dinner and panel discussion on Tuesday evening December 2nd at the Marriott Hotel in Burlington, MA. The distinguished guests, mostly Indian doctors, engineers and businessmen mingled in the foyer enjoying samosas, spinach pakodas, chai and cocktails as the room packed into the hotel’s ball room. The room lit by chandeliers and sconces was filled with aromas of Indian spices while the guests ears were intrigued by the interesting introduction and discussion of Separately Managed Accounts, (SMAs), which are an investment vehicle geared towards ultra-high-net-worth individuals & institutional clients.  However, through Jai M. Dev and his team, clients have access to this investment vehicle at lower minimum investment amounts. In a SMA, you own the individual securities outright. The Ameriprise branch manager Ryan McCabe, opened the night’s discourse with a presentation on Confident Retirement, explaining how the team helps clients feel more secure about their financial futures.

This was followed by the panel discussion and Q & A, moderated by Jai M. Dev. He introduced the three guest speakers: Ted Noethling, Vice President of Federated, Vinay Nadkarni, Director with Clearbridge Investments and Andrew Schaffernoth, Principal of Alta Capital Management. A phenomenal Indian feast, catered by Gourmet India was served to the guests while they mingled with the group of advisors and panelists.
