September 25, 2014:Shubhra Designs, LLC (www.shubrah.com) and Syna’s Collection are joining hands to present a fashion show during Boston fashion Week.

Shubhra Bhattacharya Chandra, veteran fashion designer and founder of Shubhra Designs, LLC has been successfully showing collections for Boston Fashion Week for the last few years. She has worked in the past for several large US brands (e.g. Limited, Victoria’s Secret catalog, Sigrid Olsen and Talbots). She started her web based and sustainable business in 2008. Her forte is recycling Indian saris to make western special occasion dresses and eveningwear for women and men. (http://www.shubrah.com)

Twinkle Morbia Gautam, Jewelry designer and owner of Syna’s Collection is making her debut in Boston Fashion week. Just over a year ago, Syna’s Collection - ‘designer jewelry hub’ was brought to life by this highly motivated and creative designer (https://www.facebook.com/synascollection)

This collaborative effort will showcase the ‘Fall & Festive Collection’ of both Designers.

Lending a hand to this team is TV Asia reporter and event co-ordinator Jharna Madan.

Talking about the upcoming show Shubhra said "My twenty year design career has been all about understanding the customer and what she wants to wear. Making her look unique while adhering to my design principals, for my sustainable business today. I have been doing a show for Boston Fashion Week every year since I started Shubrah.com. I want to thank my friends at Tantric for giving us the space for the show.

I also want to thank all the student models for walking the ramp for BFW. My designs are all about recycling Indian handwoven silk and cotton fabrics and creating fashions in western silhouettes. One of my famous clients will be walking the ramp, stay tuned!"

It is my first show too under the Boston Fashion Week umbrella. I think the collaboration between Shubhra and Twinkle is just fantastic. Both designers complement each other and together we will put on a memorable show.
