Stephen Friedfeld, Ph.D 08/28/2014
In partnership with Lokvani, AcceptU (www.AcceptU.com), a local college counseling group comprised of former admissions officers will be offering two free workshops, “Inside the College Admissions Office,†on Sunday, September 21.
• Lexington: 2 pm – 3:30 pm at the Elks Lodge (959 Waltham Street) • Westford: 5 pm – 6:30 pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal (75 Cold Spring Road).
Join Anil Saigal, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University, and Marc Zawel, author of Untangling the Ivy League, as they provide insight into how admissions decisions are made and what parents can do to improve their child’s chances.
Appropriate for families of high school students in grades 9 – 12, you will learn: • How college admissions offices review applications. • Ways applicants can “stand out†and be more compelling and memorable. • Why college admissions officers reject “brilliant but boring†applicants. • What the most important factors are in admissions decisions. • Bottom line actionable advice you can implement today to help your child.
Space is limited and registration is requested: http://learnmore.acceptu.com/lokvani
