Press Release 08/12/2014
(This article is sponsored by Masala Art) New England Shirdi Sai Parivaar (NESSP) was formed by devotees who share their love for Shri Shirdi Sai Baba and are inspired by His teachings. NESSP was registered as a Non-profit organization in the year 2006
NESSP has been formed to bring together all devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba from the Boston, Greater Boston, New England and beyond to spread the message of Baba. The parivaar’s vision is to spread the message of love, kindness, unity and make a meaningful contribution to the welfare of the mankind without any distinction of religion, region, race, sector personal belief.
Since our inception our vision is to construct a Shirdi Sai Temple in the area which will be a center for social and spiritual activities promoting Sai Baba’s message of Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience). As part of the community services that the temple offers, the temple has classes for children and adults on all days of the week and are limited by our abilities to expand on these services. Activities like free yoga and meditation sessions, Kids cultural as well as academic activities including chess classes, dance classes, music classes and learning our vedic scriptures. NESSP as a Parivaar has grown so much that the existing space seems limited. People seem attracted to Baba’s philosophy which is unique and the parivaar’s vision is helping aid that philosophy. To enhance and continue that vision, we need to expand the infrastructure and the facilities.
We currently operate in a 7200 square feet leased facility in Chelmsford, MA. As part of realization of our vision NESSP have acquired a 28 acre parcel of land in Groton, MA which will be the permanent home for Baba. The town had approved the site and use plan permits and we are planning to do a ground breaking this year. With the divine blessings, we have raised so far 1.5 million dollars and secured a 3.5 Million dollars of Line of Credit. Phase 1 of temple construction is estimated at 7 million dollars. To begin the construction we need to raise additional one million dollars by Dec 31st 2014. Few donars pledged for matching $ upto half a million and so far we claimed $300K from the matching pool. We are looking forward for a strong support from the community and be part of this divine project and contribute towards the Baba’s permanent temple.
Fund raising options towards Land and temple construction are Divine tree-Leaf, Brick; Square foot and towards temple operations dollar a day and many others. For more details, please visit www.nessp.org/donate
