The grand inaugural of the Chinmaya Saraswati Ashram at 393, Derby Avenue, Orange, CT will take place from Thursday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 6th, 2014. The expansive Ashram building (formerly a seminary) has been recently renovated and is surrounded by 5 acres of beautiful woodlands. Thanks to the successful fundraising efforts of its dedicated Executive Committee, the Chinmaya Mission Fairfield-New Haven was able to move from its temporary location at Bridgeport University to its new tranquil home known as Chinmaya Saraswati Ashram, in Orange. Mr. Zeoli, First Selectman of Orange, will be a guest of honor along with a few town officials and community volunteers who worked on the establishment of the Ashram. They will be felicitated at the center during a ceremony at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, July 6th.

The Chinmaya Saraswati Ashram named after Goddess Saraswati, will be a Center of learning and worship. It will be one of 49 centers in the U.S. and one of more than 300 centers around the world. The Ashram works to inspire personal growth, heightened efficiency, contentment, and the ability to live with all in peace and harmony. The Center will offer a wide range of cultural, spiritual and charitable activities. Meditation and yoga classes; Indian classical dance and music classes; Hindi language classes; Bal Vihar; Vedanta lecture series and seminars are some of the activities to be offered.
