The concert organized by the Ghazal Fans Club on 7th June at Baithak in Framingham was a great evening of music and poetry.

Singer Kiran Nath who is a composer and a poet took the audience along a great musical journey which was rightly named ‘Bahaar’ by Meenu Singh who emceed the program. It was a beautiful blend of her own musical compositions and other musical tracks and the way she shifted from one genre to another was a sheer delight for the listeners. She is as versatile a poet as she is a singer. She writes in Hindi,Urdu and Punjabi. The Punjabi number “Teri Baanh Phad lawaan “was well received . She sang numerous ghazals from her own books as well as the old classics like Begham Akhtar’s(Ae Mohabbat Tere Anjaam Pe),Farida Khanum’s(Aaj Jane Ki Zid Na Karo),Master Madan’s(Hairat Se Tak Raha Hai)and Malika Pukhraj’s(Abhi To Main Jawaan Hoon).

“Kya Jaante Ho Tum” ,”Deewana Kareingi Tumhaari Yeh Baatein”, “Ab Kya Kahoon Mere Meherbaan”are few of her own writings that she sang that day.

There were Thumaries like “Mora Saiyaan Mose Bole Na”, “Koyaliya Mat Kar Pukaar “and “Chhodho Kalaai Mori Saiyaan “
