This March, the American India Foundation (AIF) was awarded with its third Dell Youth Connect grant for its Digital Equalizer (DE) program. The grant, in the amount of $712,000, will go towards ten existing and five new AIF/Dell Youth Connect classrooms in Delhi, Mohali, and Chennai. The MIT South Asian Culture Show on April 1, or “C-Show,” presented by the MIT South Asian American Students Club proved to be a great show and fun for all. Drawing hundreds of people, it showcased the best of MIT’s talent and South Asian culture ranging with dances and vocal performances from all parts of South Asia. The members of Aligarh Alumni Association of New England (AAANE) hosted an evening with an inspiring artist Mr. Iqbal Husain Salani on March 5. Titled Shaame-e-Ghazal, the event was a fundraiser to support the local Food Bank.
