The violin arangetram of Praneel Kumar Murali, a student of Guru Smt. Vidya Raman, was a great ice breaker. Praneel played nine songs from different composers in different ragas and thalams. The main piece of the evening’s recital was Bhavanuta in ragam mohanam, composed by saint Thyagaraja in Adi Thaalam. Praneel showcased his talent by playing the kalpana swarams in chatusram and thisram leading to korrappu in kandam.

I was so moved to see the bright children studying in circumstances so different from mine. I really wanted to help. I did a summer a job and earned enough to support two schools for 60 kids. Yes it was a life time of earning for me. Donating it gave an opportunity of lifetime to the children in rural remote villages.
