Miss Bharat, a beauty pagent hosted by Dr. Shefali Aggarwal was held at Ambrosia in Foxboro on Dec. 4, 2021. The event had several categories of competitions including Miss, Mrs, Teen and even one for grandmothers. Sanjana Pulaparthi won the Miss Bharat title and will now go on to compete at the national level. The funds raised from the event was to support “Cancer Shakti Foundation”, an organization that supports under privileged cancer patients in India.

Sreya Vangara of MIT is one of the recipients of the 2022-23 Schwarzman Scholarships. She will head to Tsinghua University in Beijing next August to pursue a one-year master’s degree in global affairs. She is double majoring in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering and computer science. She has taught STEM in Kazakhstan, Mexico, and Hong Kong through MIT Global Teaching Labs.
