Rhythm becomes our company in life, we perform our best when we are in rhythm. On the summer Saturday afternoon of August 18, 2018, under the cloudy skies reminiscent of the romantic monsoons of India, members of South Asian Poets of New England (SAPNE) assembled in the backyard at 180 Bedford Road in Lincoln, MA, to celebrate oral and folk literature of South Asia.

Essence Of India 2018: It Is A Wonderful World | Essence of India 2018 finale on Saturday, 8/18 celebrated the theme of “Vasudhaive Kutumbkam” -- the whole world is one community. It was therefore meaningful to combine Indian classical performances with those from international cultures. Performers representing classical and folk traditions from countries like Cambodia, Thailand, Ireland, Russia, Puerto Rico, China etc. participated to bring a vast plethora of culture and performances on the NARA Park outdoor stage in Acton, MA.
