Ekal - LEAP Choir - Music In Unison | |

Featuring a choir by special group of children from India led by Srinivas Krishnan, artistic director for LEAP along with music presentations led by local music maestros Sudha Subbaraman and Jyoti Sharma, the Ekal – LEAP choir hosted by Ekal Vidyalaya was a great success. The uniqueness of the event was that most performers, both the Indian group and the Ekal US group were not trained musicians and yet the music was spectacular.

The Triveni Ensemble: Dasavatar | On Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5, Neena Gulati and the Triveni Dance Ensemble performed two sold-out shows of Dasavatar: The Ten Incarnations of Lord Vishnu to rapt audiences at the BU Dance Theater. All proceeds of the performance went to AIM for SEVA, a non-profit organization focused on making education and healthcare accessible to the rural poor in India.

The Women Who Mapped The Stars | "The Women Who Mapped The Stars,” held Central Square Theater, is one of the first offered in the Brit d’Arbeloff Women in Science Production series, is about five women, dubbed the “computers,” who made startling discoveries in astronomy. It was a fabulous play that touched on some very interesting issues related to women in STEM. The play was followed by a panel discussion hosted by IITAGNE to discuss the state of Women in STEM today.
