NESSP initiated annual Sai Palkhi Utsav on May 23, 2015. The initiation started off with Kakad Aarti to Baba followed by kid’s cultural program and plakhi initiation. This enormous event was witnessed by about 500 people including kids, who celebrated and immersed in joy. Following that, NESSP volunteers and the devotees performed Bhoomi shuddhikaran pooja with Kalash jal on the land acquired to build a permanent home for Sri Sai.

Dr. Bijoy Misra initiated a multi-year project of doing a complete reading of the Valmiki Ramayana in the local Sai Temple on May 5, 2013. He reads about two hundred stanzas from the text and explains to an audience that assembles for the reading. The second anniversary of the event was hosted on May 9th with the recitation of Ramarakshastotram and a special staging of Ramayana character play.
